From November 8th:
I was going to wait and post again after my house was “finished,” but life happens and sometimes you just can’t wait for things to be perfect.
We’ve officially moved closer to my work into a trailer that is the right fit for us right now. There are some cosmetic fixes we still need, but it’s coming along. Unpacking without the necessary furniture is rather impossible, but we’re slowly making it work and making it our own. We even started an Amazon wish list in case anybody wants to order us stuff we still need to replace.
Baby O and I flew to California to see my brother, sis-in-law, and niece and had an awesome time. It was a nice break from the displaced situation here.
When we came back, we signed papers and started moving into our new place. It’s a process. Of course, as a teacher, I am ALWAYS busy, it seems. Over the course of a few weeks, we had a haunted house that I was the lead on (I had really awesome help and an army of students to get the work done), competition at the Texas Renaissance Festival School Days, a Veteran’s Day program tomorrow, hubby’s birthday tomorrow, public performances on Friday and Saturday, plus getting the new truck and having his birthday party with his family this weekend, too. Then Baby O and I are flying back to Cali for my niece’s first birthday, followed by Thanksgiving and another trip to Ren Fest to do grown-up stuff… Yeah, life is busy and crazy, but I love it.
And now, as I realize I didn’t post this when I wrote it, I realize even more things have happened since then. I don’t currently have a finished project to post, but I’m working on a few things. I have an upcoming first birthday party to plan and throw, sewing to do, and lots of things that still need my attention, but my busy, crazy life is wonderful and I’m happy. I’ll be posting about One-Act Play costumes, the new puppy, and the party planning here pretty soon. Love to you all!
